Wedding Packages

We offer a variety of different venue options from a simple dry hire for those wishing to do everything themselves to inclusive Wanaka wedding packages designed to make your planning and set up easier.

One Day Hire
Perfect if you have limited time and are happy to set up and pack down on the day of your wedding. One-day hire allows access for 24 hours from 9am on the day of your event.

Two Day Hire
Ideal if you want to take the stress out of your wedding day or would like to have a post-wedding gathering. Two-day hire allows access for 48 hours from 9am on your chosen first day of hire.

Prop Hire
From mason jars to shearers huts, festoon lights and everything in between, our extensive hire catalogue will have all that you need to complete your perfect look. Check out our pinterest page for some inspiration or browse through our hire catalogue.

To make everything easier for you we have hand picked our most popular items, put them all together and taken 10% off the price to create our ‘favorites bundle’.

Planning & Coordination
Our planning package gives assistance to those wanting to be quite hands off with the planning of their wedding. We contact and talk with all the wedding suppliers, find quotes and availability and liaise between couples and suppliers to ensure that all of the main parts of the wedding are booked.

Set up & Styling
Some couples prefer to plan the structure of the wedding itself – the band, caterer, florists, transport, alcohol suppliers etc themselves, but would like help styling the wedding – sourcing hire items, working with florists and finding and setting up the look of the day – this is encompassed in our styling package.

Day of Coordinator
Our most popular package also used in conjunction with the styling package. It gives you a staff member for the day of your wedding. We talk with you prior to the day and find out what your expectations are and then liaise with all suppliers on the day, are responsible for set up of your hire gear (internal and external), and on site until the caterers take over in the early evening of your wedding. It also means we are able to control pack down and clean up the day after.

What’s included in my booking?

  • Our extensive Wedding Planning Guide and two pre-wedding site visits
  • Use of the Ceremony site up on the terrace overlooking Mt Alta and Mt Gold
  • 160m2 of floor space and a floor plan to assist with design of seating plans
  • Tables and chairs for up to 170 people and the macrocarpa head table
  • Outside entertainment areas and fireplace (fire ban permitting)
  • Guests are welcome to stay at the Woolshed until 12.30am

What happens once I have booked?
Once you have secured your chosen dates for your wedding here at Criffel Station Woolshed, the planning begins. To help you create the best possible wedding we will send you our comprehensive guide on how to plan your wedding in Wanaka. This will include ideas and tips along with lists of fantastic local suppliers and handy contact information. We are also happy to meet with you or your supplier here at Criffel Station Woolshed twice before the day of your wedding and are on hand via email to answer any queries that you may have.

How do the planning & coordination and styling & set up time work?
We aim to customise our time to your needs. If you would like us to liaise with the suppliers on your behalf, we are happy to do that for you. If you want to do most of the planning but would like to take it easy on the day and have us work with your florist and caterer to do the styling and set up we can help. Or even if you just wanted a bit more advice on whom the best local suppliers are, we have a wealth of local knowledge and can point you in the right direction. 

Do I need to decide now?
We aim to be as flexible as possible to the needs of our guests and you can decide at any time in the lead up to your wedding if you would like some extra help or hire items.

As part of our hire catalogue, our Favourites Bundle is priced at $1000 (inc GST) includes the following items; 

  • Farmhouse signing table and chair
  • Shepherds crooks and hanging jars for decoration x 12
  • Bench seating for 36
  • Portable PA speaker with microphone and cable for iPod or similar
  • Rimu cake table
  • Sun umbrellas with stand x 5
  • Half wine barrels x 4, whole wine barrels x 4
  • Sound system with microphone and connection for iPod or similar
